Fio is gaining weight. Probably due to mangos and kiwi fruit, which seem to be iguana candy.
When he arrived, Fio had no interest in his human guardians and preferred that they kept their distance. Fortunately, the humans discovered the website of Henry Lizardlover : link* "http://henrylizardlover.com"*endtaghenrylizardlover.com.*link You will have to see this to believe it - Henry's iguanas are so easy-going that will pose with doll furniture, toy motorcycles and all sorts of other props. This man knows his iguanas.
We ordered his book and we are following his advice about respecting our iguana's feelings and personal space. Fio now appears to be associating human hands with food, maybe even warming up to us.
Lately, his tail is getting fat and his back legs are almost pudgy. At this rate, we may one day have a beast who is large enough to wander safely outside of his cage and not be in danger from our two "fully operational death cats".
